Coronavirus Makers: You bring the design, I’ll bring the 3D printer
A network of more than 10,000 Makers are coordinating in Spain via Telegram through the @Coronavirus Makers channel the printing of masks, respirators, cabinets… in record time to make them available to health centres. Join us!
Faced with the shortage of medical devices to deal with the coronavirus, this spectacular initiative has arisen, coordinated through a Telegram group called ‘Coronavirus Makers’. This way, entrepreneurs, engineers, designers, or anyone with a 3D printer can join and print materials with their own means.
IDEA, together with all the companies in our group (especially IA Manufacturing, specialised in additive manufacturing), is collaborating with this initiative to stop the spread of the virus, and we have already received the first batch of face shields. Our colleague Francisco Piqueras, CEO of IA Manufacturing, is responsible for coordinating the logistics of this project across Spain, which is extremely important for our country. Therefore, if you would like to join this initiative, you can contact him via LinkedIn (vi sending him a message), and he will inform you on how to proceed and help this cause.
The power of a community with a single purpose: to help.
As the newspaper ’20 minutos’ writes in its article: ‘The original Coronavirusmakers group was set up on 13 March, and 1,500 people joined. On Sunday, just nine days later, there were already 10,776 members willing to help’. #TogetherWeCan!
In these difficult times, we must all row in the same direction, show solidarity, and above all be RESPONSIBLE. That is why IDEA asks you to stay at home, so that you can help in the best way possible. If you are also teleworking, here are 6 tips on how to make teleworking as productive and efficient as possible.
All the best to everyone! #TogetherWeCan
