We are part of the MOVES III Programme in the Region of Murcia, aimed at promoting efficient and sustainable mobility.

The Region of Murcia has been allocated nearly €13 million from the European funds of the MOVES III Programme, which is part of the European Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. The programme’s initial budget of €400 million was later increased to €1.2 billion.

MOVES III: Efficient and Sustainable Mobility

The MOVES III Programme, managed by the Institute for the Diversification and Saving of Energy (IDAE), is a Spanish government initiative aimed at promoting electric and sustainable mobility. Targeted at individuals, companies, and public administrations, it provides subsidies for the purchase of electric vehicles and the installation of charging stations. Launched in April 2021, the programme has been extended until December 31, 2024, broadening access to these grants and supporting the transition toward cleaner and more efficient mobility.

Advantages of Electric Mobility

Driving sustainability in the transport sector: Transport is the largest emitter of greenhouse gases and consumer of fossil energy in Spain. MOVES III aims to electrify transport by promoting cleaner mobility based on alternative energy sources.
Improved efficiency and increased energy savings: Electric motors are twice as efficient as combustion engines, significantly reducing energy consumption. MOVES III encourages the purchase of modern, efficient vehicles to help renew the vehicle fleet.
Reduction of CO₂ and other pollutant emissions: MOVES III supports the Agenda 2030 objective of reducing pollutant emissions by 33%, promoting the adoption of electric vehicles as a key measure.
Diversification of energy sources: In addition to electric vehicles, MOVES III includes options such as hydrogen-powered vehicles, promoting alternatives to traditional fuels.
Climate change mitigation and improved air quality: The programme promotes sustainable mobility solutions that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and enhance air quality in urban areas.
Reduction of dependence on oil: Electric mobility decreases reliance on petroleum, strengthens energy security, and supports global climate commitments.
