Sertego, a leading company: comprehensive service offering waste collection, hazardous waste management, used oil and industrial cleaning, has chosen IDEA to carry out a multidisciplinary project for new facilities at its MARPOL plant.

New waste treatment plant

The Final Treatment Plant for Liquid Waste generated by ships (Annex 1 of the Marpol 73/78 Convention) and similar will have a total storage capacity of 8,200 m3 distributed according to the product or by-product generated for a total of 21 tanks.

In this project, advanced basic engineering services were provided for the construction of a new Sertego industrial complex for the treatment of Marpol industrial waste.

This new plant will be located in the Port of Valencia – Xità, in Area 5 – Sub-area B, with good access and communication within the port.

Scope:

The final outcome of the Advanced Basic Engineering includes the work required to define the project and its processes with sufficient quality, thus generating the engineering documentation with sufficient depth to be able to subsequently contract the different mechanical lots, detail engineering, manufacturing, construction and support, with a margin of error of ±10% with respect to the actual final measurements.

Creating a 3D design of the entire plant in this way helps to minimise any future interferences or problems that could occur.

The project lasted five months and involved the disciplines of piping, mechanics, structures, and instrumentation and control.

Memory and calculations of the different elements and systems of the package unit.
Drawings of equipment implementation, routing and piping layout of all process lines and auxiliary services, on site, elevations and 3D model.
Drawings for offers for the manufacture and assembly of supports, structures, platforms, tanks and reservoirs.
Engineering lists of lines, valves, equipment, brackets, instruments etc.
Preparation of material and equipment specifications for purchases.
Measurements of all project items.
Technical assistance for procurement management.
Quality control plan in the project phase, its monitoring and oversight during the construction phase.
Oversight of the assembly work execution on site.

Once again, IDEA has carried out a multidisciplinary project in which the whole team has participated in order to obtain the best results.
